My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Wanda is a beautiful orange-and-white girl with a heart as warm as her coloring. Found as a stray, she surprised everyone with how quickly she adapted to indoor life. From the moment she was introduced to a new space, Wanda acted as if she had always belonged there—calm, confident, and completely at ease.

Wanda is incredibly loving and enjoys human companionship, but she also has a wonderfully laid-back nature. She’s indifferent to other cats, even when they’re not particularly friendly toward her, making her an easy addition to multi-cat households. Her relaxed attitude and gentle demeanor suggest she would do well in just about any home environment.

Whether you’re a first-time cat adopter or a seasoned cat lover, Wanda’s easygoing personality makes her a joy to have around. She’s the kind of cat who settles in quickly, offers affection freely, and brings a peaceful presence to the home. Wanda is ready for her forever family—one that will appreciate her sweet nature and give her the love she so generously returns.

Additional adoption info

Our 9LCR cats are not routinely tested for FIV and FeLV for various reasons, one being to keep the costs and hence the adoption fee affordable. This decision is based on studies that have found that only about 4% of cats are actually infected. The funds for testing are better utilized for our spay and neuter efforts of owned and community cats in order to save the most cats. However, testing can be performed upon request and need to be covered by the person interested in adopting.
9 Lives Cats have been spayed or neutered and have updated vaccinations. 9 Lives is run entirely on volunteers. Please give us 2-7 days to process your application. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us! Please fill out our application form found here: t.ly/38VV
Adoption fee is $70.00.

More about this rescue

We started 9 Lives Cat Rescue to find homes for cats that are homeless or need to be relocated.
We are a no-kill, non-profit group. Our cats live in foster homes until they are adopted. We spay & neuter every cat before they are adopted.
We fully support our local no-kill feral cat group who practices TNR (Trap, Neuter & Return).
