My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ginette is a stunning calico with medium-long fur and adorable extra toes that give her a unique charm. She was found wandering a neighborhood for months, and despite repeated attempts to locate an owner through social media, no one ever claimed her. During that time, Ginette showed she could survive outdoors, but she’s clearly much happier when she feels safe and cared for. While she’s comfortable going in and out, for her long-term safety she would be best suited as an indoor cat.

Ginette can be shy and cautious at first, especially in new environments, but patience is rewarded. Once she learns to trust you, she leans into affection and truly enjoys being petted. Her gentle nature suggests she would do best in a quiet home without small children, where loud noises and sudden movements won’t overwhelm her.

Ginette is looking for a calm, understanding family who will give her time to adjust and the security she’s been missing. In return, she’ll offer quiet companionship, sweet affection, and the special charm of a cat who’s finally found her place.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our 9LCR cats are not routinely tested for FIV and FeLV for various reasons, one being to keep the costs and hence the adoption fee affordable. This decision is based on studies that have found that only about 4% of cats are actually infected. The funds for testing are better utilized for our spay and neuter efforts of owned and community cats in order to save the most cats. However, testing can be performed upon request and need to be covered by the person interested in adopting.
9 Lives Cats have been spayed or neutered and have updated vaccinations. 9 Lives is run entirely on volunteers. Please give us 2-7 days to process your application. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us! Please fill out our application form found here: t.ly/38VV
Adoption fee is $70.00.

More about this rescue

We started 9 Lives Cat Rescue to find homes for cats that are homeless or need to be relocated.
We are a no-kill, non-profit group. Our cats live in foster homes until they are adopted. We spay & neuter every cat before they are adopted.
We fully support our local no-kill feral cat group who practices TNR (Trap, Neuter & Return).
