My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet tiny Sophie, a senior wire-haired chihuahua who had her life turned upside down when her adoring owner had to move into an assisted living facility. With no one to take Sophie we stepped in, no senior should end up in a shelter. Sophie is just precious and all she wants is a warm lap and a loving home that will keep her as she lives out her own life. Sophie is 12-year-old.

All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.
