My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Miss Stella, a soulful beauty with a heart of gold and a simple wish: to be loved.

While she can be a bit reserved and hesitant when meeting strangers, don’t let her initial shyness fool you. Once you have earned her trust, she transforms into a total cuddle-bug who will quite literally melt in your arms. Stella is a gentle spirit looking for a peaceful sanctuary to call her own, far away from the hustle and bustle of a chaotic environment or the unpredictable energy of young children.

This sweet girl is a social butterfly within her inner circle and absolutely loves playing with her foster fur-siblings. In fact, she would benefit greatly from having a calm and confident resident dog in her forever home to help show her the ropes. It is worth noting that while she loves her friends, she can be reactive toward other dogs while out on a leash. Stella isn't afraid to use her big voice to let the world know how she’s feeling, and because she can be quite vocal—especially during her training sessions—she requires a detached house rather than an apartment setting.

Stella is a diligent student who is making wonderful progress with her house training. Her foster parents have also been working hard on her crate training; though it isn't her favorite place to be just yet, she can usually be coaxed in with a tasty treat. Her future adopters will need to be patient and committed to continuing this training with her. Because of her inherently gentle nature, we suspect she would do well in a home with dog-savvy cats, provided she is given a slow and proper introduction.

Stella has so much love and loyalty to offer the right family. She is a wonderful girl who just needs a patient, quiet environment where she can truly shine and feel secure. If you have a calm home and a heart ready for a devoted companion, Stella is ready to fill your life with sweetness and gratitude ❤️
