My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jupiter, a gorgeous brown tabby with wise eyes, classic stripes, and the kind of calm presence that makes a room feel more peaceful the second she walks in. Her name fits. Jupiter has that big, steady “gentle giant of the solar system” energy, the sort of cat who does not need to be loud to be unforgettable.

We do not know much about Jupiter’s history yet, but one thing is already crystal clear. She was loved. The way she leans into attention, the way she greets new friends with openness and warmth, and the easy affection she offers all point to a cat who has known kindness and is ready to share it again. If you have been hoping for an affectionate, friendly companion with charm and a heart as big as her namesake planet, come meet Jupiter and see if she is meant to become the calm center of your home’s universe.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
