Meet Figaro! Figaro was brought to us back in early December with a yucky upper respiratory infection and a weird walk. After a few rounds of medication and some trial and error, he`s now better and ready for his second chance.
Because of how bad his infection was, his left eye is pretty badly scarred. For now, it is not bothering him or his ability to get around (he`s got plenty of energy!), but while he is under anesthesia for his neuter, the eye will be examined to see if it needs removed. Recovery for eye enucleation can be a little tough, but as long as he keeps his movement low and his cone on, he`ll be good to go! He does also have a little bit of a funny walk from a presumed old injury, but this doesn`t affect his quality of life at all. Based on how he runs around you`d never know besides his gait!
There`s also plenty more to Figaro than his medical needs. He LOVES food. A little too much. He was very skinny when he came in, and even though he`s up to a great weight now, he still goes crazy for meals. We do have to feed him in a slow feeder so he doesn`t make himself sick, but he does great with it! Figaro also loves to play. His favorite toys are a feather wand or a bell ball. Pets are also always welcomed-- ear and chin scratches are his preferred means of affection.
When you look past his (very handsome) exterior, you`ll find a playful ball of energy that loves attention. If you think Figaro sounds like your purrfect match, come meet him today!
