My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What my friends at ACC say about me:

I'm an independent kitty who likes to do my own thing.

I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.

I love to be loved, but on my own terms! Let's brush up on some feline body language together!

I prefer to call the shots and enjoy coming to you when I'm ready for pets.

Eleven is not open to interaction at this time and does not currently tolerate handling. Because her previous owner reports she likes to interact on her own terms but is an affectionate cat in a home environment, we believe the behavior seen in the care center may be shelter-specific. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in an experienced, home with adopters who are willing to work with a cat who needs time and patience to help her adjust to their new home.

A volunteer writes: Eleven is the ultimate girl boss, a beautiful creature who is all about running the show. When she's in the mood for affection, she's chatty and loving; her former person told us that her favorite thing about Eleven is how much she loves to cuddle. But Eleven also has an independent streak, and she'll make it clear when she needs some alone time or just wants to hang with her people from afar. Brought to the Care Center because someone in her previous household developed allergies, Eleven also likes being in the bedroom, playing gently with her crinkle toys, and chowing down on wet food. In the cat adoption room she's shown us that she's a social butterfly with a big personality and likes to be at the front of her cat condo taking in all the action. If your kind of cat is a confident cuddlebug who will always clue you in to what she wants and how she's feeling, then you must meet Miss Eleven today!
