My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Angel! 🐾✨

Angel was found as a tiny, motherless puppy with her littermates in Laredo and has been thriving ever since. Born around December 1, 2025, she was named for the adorable “wing” markings on her shoulders. As she grows, her coat is developing beautiful darker freckles, similar to a heeler.

One of the larger girls in her litter, Angel is smart, sweet, and full of playful puppy energy. She does great with other dogs and has no food aggression. We’re currently awaiting DNA results, but we suspect a heeler mix, with an estimated adult weight of 35–50 pounds.

Heelers are known for being loyal, intelligent, and active companions who love having a job to do and bonding closely with their people.

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

Mission Statement
To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
