My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Gigi!

Gigi came to us when we were asked to help with multiple large colonies within a trailer park that kept having litter after litter of kittens. Although we don’t know Gigi’s full story, we do believe she was born from a litter from previous Trash Cat Mimi.

Gigi was very shy at first because she was born and raised outside, but was used to human interaction because of her feeders. It didn't take us long to realize that she was calm and friendly! Although Gigi did not inherit her mother's round squishy face, she did inherit her calm and sweet disposition!

Gigi can be a little shy at first, but once she trusts you, she is very happy for attention. Gigi loves getting pets and love, but don't let her sister La La hog the spot light! Gigi is a bit of a push over but is just a sweet darling who appreciates any love you throw her way. She is calm and quiet, but still has a little bit of a playful side to her. She can be a little shy at first until she acclimates to her surroundings, so her adopter will require some patience- however we promise your efforts will be worth it!

Gigi is looking for a relaxed home where she can sun bathe in a window or snuggle on a comfy couch. We believe Gigi would do well in lots of different homes: as a single cat, with another calm cat (maybe with her adoptable sister, La La?), with older children, and maybe even a calmer dog.

Gigi is said to be a little over 2.5 years old. She is spayed, vaccinated, FIV/FELV tested negative, microchipped, dewormed, and flea treated. If you’re looking for cat who just wants your love, look no further than Gigi!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.

2.

Approve Application

We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.

3.

Interview

We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.

4.

Meet the Pet

Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!

6.

Pay Fee

7.

Additional adoption info

We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

More about this rescue

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.

Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
