Hello! My name is Thousand Island, but you can call me Ti. I am an almost three month old Domestic Short Hair kitten who's lived quite the life so far. I was born in the streets and unfortunately, all of my siblings died. So, I have had to learn to fend for myself in the cold winter months until I was rescued by a very caring and determined cat lady. Because of this, I am still learning how to be a cat without worrying about surviving.
I am looking for a patient home with experienced cat owners who can help me learn how to live a stress free life indoors. I do okay with other cats and cat-friendly dogs, but would need to be with other calm animals. For more information, please contact my foster mom Alyssa at 585-746-9392.

Cat adoptions are held at the PetSmart at 115th and Metcalf in Overland Park KS every Saturday from 12:00 to 3:00. Cats available for adoption every day at PetSmart in-store cage area.
Dog adoptions are held at the PetSmart in Olathe KS at 119th and Strang Line, every Saturday from 12:00 to 3:00.

The Heart of America Humane Society is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 non-profit organization helping to place shelter and foster animals into permanent homes in and around the greater Kansas City metro area.
Our goal is to save and improve the lives of Kansas City's homeless companion animals by promoting responsible pet ownership. The Heart of America Humane Society (HAHS) partners with the Lee's Summit Animal Shelter (Lee's Summit MO) and KCK Animal Services (Kansas City KS) to increase pet adoptions into responsible, permanent homes.
Background
Our organization does not have a permanent facility or paid staff, so many of our adoptions take place at PetSmart stores and occasionally through other event venues. Some events raise awareness and bring in donations for our animal support efforts, while others help acknowledge and show appreciation for our own volunteers (who perform all duties outside of their regular jobs).
