My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Yoda - Currently in Victoria, BC!!!!

*** Foster or Adopter needed

Name: Yoda

Breed: Jindo Mix

Age: 3 years

Gender: Neutered Male

Weight: 15 kg

Yoda is a loyal and devoted dog who forms a very strong bond with his owner. He is affectionate, enjoys being petted, and thrives in a calm, structured environment with people he trusts.

However, Yoda is territorial and protective of his home. He has a history of biting incidents involving visitors and children inside the house, especially when there are sudden movements or unfamiliar people entering his space. Because of this, Yoda cannot live in a home with children and is only suitable for a single adult or couple household with no kids and limited visitors.

Yoda does well on walks and is:

• Leash trained

• Crate trained

• House trained

He has a medium to high energy level and would benefit from regular exercise and a predictable routine. He is generally neutral toward other dogs and has not shown possessiveness with food or toys. His prey drive exists but is manageable.

Yoda is healthy, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered.

We are looking for an experienced and confident foster or adopter who understands reactive or protective dogs and can provide a calm, stable, and structured environment.

Important notes for potential fosters/adopters:

• No children

• No frequent visitors

• Experienced, confident handler required

• Calm, quiet household only

• Secure home (flight risk)

Yoda is not a dog for everyone, but in the right environment with the right people, he has the potential to be an incredibly loyal and loving companion.

We are committed to finding Yoda a safe, appropriate, and permanent home where both he and his future family can succeed.

More about this rescue

Adopt Korean Rescue is a volunteer-based federally registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping homeless and unwanted dogs in South Korea find a new home in Canada.

We love Korean dogs. Many of them live in chains, give birth on the side of the road, or wander around with their pups. Some of them get caught and end up at dog meat farms or high-kill shelters in South Korea. They luckily meet us just before euthanasia or after many years of living in dog meat farms. We exist to hold their paws and help them find a forever home in Canada full of joy and happiness.

Our dog rescue work depends on our flight volunteers. They help us safely bring our dogs from Korea to Vancouver or Toronto airports, where the dogs will find loving forever or foster homes.
