My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Snuggly, Affectionate, Sociable

Kissa is an extremely sweet senior girl who’s ready to be showered in hugs and kisses! Even in her golden years, Kissa is very friendly, curious, and always wanting pets from everyone. Wherever you are, that’s where Kissa wants to be!

Kissa loves hanging out with her people, especially if she’s being cuddled or getting pets. The moment she sees you, she’ll come right over in hopes of being petted, and she loves to curl up next to you or perch herself on your leg like a little bird. Kissa isn’t overly vocal, but she won’t hesitate to meow her raspy little grandma meow if she wants food or attention!

Kissa doesn’t let her age stop her from playing! She loves laser pointers and anything she can bat at like dangling objects and hair ties. She also likes to pounce on shadows and occasionally gets the zoomies and runs around. The cardboard scratching board is also a big hit with her!

Kissa came to APA! from another shelter and had lived with her brother whom she was bonded with, but sadly he passed away. She hasn’t been around any other cats since, and any past experience with other cats, dogs, or kids is unknown.

Due to her age, Kissa has some general medical concerns regarding her kidney health, and she is slightly anemic. She’s a little underweight as well, so it’s important for her new family to make sure she’s eating and monitor her for signs of kidney disease. But otherwise, Kissa is looking and feeling great!

The perfect forever home for Kissa is one where she can get lots of love and attention from her people. The more she can be curled up next to you, the better. A quiet home with loving people and plenty of soft spots for napping and looking out the window will help make Kissa’s golden years the best she’s ever had!

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
