Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ruby is a delightful 2½-year-old large breed mix who currently weighs 73 pounds. Despite her size, she’ll happily try to climb into your lap for snuggles, always eager to spend time with her family. Ruby’s affectionate nature shines through in her love for cuddling and being close to those she cares about.
Her behavior with cats is still uncertain—she’s shown a strong curiosity and may be a bit too enthusiastic in her play. With dogs, Ruby does well as long as introductions are handled properly, making her a good candidate for multi-dog households. On walks, she’s spirited and tends to pull, so she’ll benefit from continued leash training to help her learn to walk calmly at your side.
Ruby is truly a wonderful dog, combining a mellow, easygoing personality with a zest for adventure. She’s housebroken and thrives in a country setting, preferring wide open spaces over apartment living. Her ideal home would offer room to roam and plenty of companionship.
If you’re searching for a loyal, loving, and fun companion, Ruby could be the perfect match for your family. Don’t miss the chance to meet this special gem—fill out an online application today and discover the joy she’ll bring to your life.

More about this rescue
We are dog and cat lovers who want to help decrease the number of healthy pets being euthanized. We do this through adopting pets to caring homes and by spaying and neutering every pet before it is adopted out. We operate a Thrift store named Critters, which is volunteer run with all money brought goes to support our "No Kill" rescue. Critters is located on the same property as our shelter. We take in homeless animals because they are in need and are unable to help themselves.
