Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi. I’m Marlin.
4-year-old male Great Pyrenees/Shepherd mix
Professional good boy. Semi-professional explorer.
Let’s get the important stuff out of the way. I am very friendly, excellent with others, and I walk on a leash like I’ve been secretly taking etiquette classes. I love being outside. Fresh air. Breeze in my fur. Birds to politely judge. It’s my happy place.
Now… my one tiny quirk.
I enjoy wandering. Not “running away.” Not “escaping.” Just thoughtfully checking the perimeter to see what’s going on in the neighborhood. A curious soul with legs built for adventure.
Because of this, my dream home includes:
• A fenced-in yard (my wanderlust respects fences)
• A human who enjoys walks as much as I do
• An active lifestyle where we can stroll, explore, and then relax like champions
I’m the kind of dog who’s thrilled to walk beside you, happy to meet friends, and content to spend time outside soaking up life. Give me structure, some fresh air, and a secure yard, and I’ll give you loyalty, laughs, and excellent companionship.
If you’re looking for a handsome, leash-loving, slightly adventurous gentleman… congratulations. You’ve found Marlin.
If interested, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on this dog's adoption list. No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list. The shelter will contact individuals as they appear on the list.
The adoption fee is $95 and you receive certificates for $50 towards spay/neuter and $10 towards rabies vaccine if not already done. All dogs are heartworm tested, receive a DHLPP, flea and tick treatment, and are dewormed.
