My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zipper came to us when her owner was being admitted to a nursing home and she couldnt take her and no family stepped up to take her so we did. She is declawed in the front, not something we support but whats done is done. Because of that for safety she will need to be a strictly indoor cat. She was first adopted at about 2 years old and is approximately 4 years old now. Zipper is VERY social and friendly/cuddly but a little slow to warm up to other cats. She doing well with adjusting to a foster home and four other fosters in her foster home. Zipper is outgoing and will make a great companion for someone, hopefully third times a charm!

More about this rescue

Field of Dreams Rescue was created to aid in the prevention of animal cruelty by offering a no-kill sanctuary for all unwanted dogs, including but not limited to dogs from abusive or neglected situations and commercial kennels.
In our first year of operation (2007) over 128 rescues were placed into loving permanent homes! Because FODR is a no kill shelter with limited space and funding, animals are taken into our care based on need.
We are an all volunteer organization. We foster animals in our own homes so that they will be adopted into loving permanent homes. Field of Dreams Rescue actively supports spay and neutering efforts.
