My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Colleen & Wally — A Perfectly Paired Duo

Meet Colleen and Wally, a deeply bonded pair who do everything together and are truly a package deal — twice the love, twice the personality, and twice the joy.

Wally is a world-class love bug. He’s a big boy with an even bigger heart, and affection is his love language. He comes running to the door to greet you, happily settles into laps for naps, and insists on being close at all times — whether that’s cuddling on the couch or supervising your workday from your desk or lap. Confident and outgoing from the moment he arrived, Wally makes himself right at home and makes sure you feel loved while he’s at it.

Colleen is a little more reserved at first, but don’t let that fool you — she’s incredibly sweet and affectionate in her own gentle way. After a day or two, she was ready to explore and claim her space. She’s the playful one of the pair, especially fond of wand toys and crinkly foil balls, and she’s delightfully chatty, checking in with a few sweet conversations throughout the day.

Together, Colleen and Wally are inseparable. You’ll often find them lounging side by side around the house — stretched out in the kitchen, snoozing in the hallway, or curled up together at bedtime. They both sleep peacefully through the night, sharing the bed without late-night antics, and are wonderfully gentle, calm, and loving companions.

These two have so much personality and so much love to give. Anyone lucky enough to adopt Colleen and Wally will be gaining not just two excellent cats, but a perfectly matched pair who will fill their home with warmth, comfort, and constant companionship.

Colleen and Wally were rescued in partnership with ACT Spay Neuter Clinic in Stockton.

Please note:

  • Wally should be adopted with a littermate
  • Indoor only

More about this rescue

Every day adult and senior cats with treatable medical and behavioral conditions are euthanized. GIVE ME SHELTER's goal is to rescue these cats from certain death and place them into loving permanent homes.
GMS is a registered 501(c)3 organization and is dedicated to helping stop the overpopulation of unwanted and abandoned cats. We are a small group of dedicated volunteers who are committed to bettering the life of adult cats who no longer have a home to call their own. Every time you adopt from us, you allow us to save another cat that would have otherwise died. We receive new cats into our system almost every week. Our website is constantly being updated, so please check back often!
