My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Fiona and here is a bit more about me:

My Journey
I was found at a cemetery in Los Angeles, quietly navigating the world on my own. Since being rescued, I’ve shown just how gentle and loving I truly am. I’ve adapted well to indoor life and enjoy being part of a household where I can feel safe, cared for, and included.

My Social Life
Other cats ? I’ve met cats and can do fine with proper introduction.
Dogs ? I can be a little hesitant around dogs.
Kids ? I tolerate tiny humans but don’t particularly enjoy their presence, so a quieter home or one with respectful older children would suit me best.

My Personality
Affectionate, friendly, and observant.
I like to be a quiet witness to daily family life, following along to see what everyone is up to. I’m people-oriented and enjoy being near my humans, soaking in attention and affection without demanding constant stimulation.

I Enjoy…
All kinds of scratches (I’m not picky!)
Exploring new areas of the home, especially wherever my people are
Lounging nearby and keeping an eye on household activities
Mealtime—especially my wet food

I’m Not a Fan Of…
Eating from bowls—I strongly prefer my meals served on a plate
I’m not very interested in treats, but I’ll never say no to a good wet food meal

What Makes Me Special
I have stunning marble-patterned coloring and an exceptionally soft coat that people can’t stop admiring once they pet me.

My Perfect Home
I’d do best as a solo kitty or with one calm feline sibling. I thrive in a peaceful environment where I can feel secure and included without being overwhelmed.

My Special Needs
I’m currently underweight and will need wet food twice daily to support healthy weight gain. With consistent meals and a little extra love, I’m well on my way to feeling my best.

More about this rescue

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
