Mid nite Security is an extremely petite, long-haired black girl, estimated to be around 1.5 years old. She is underweight for her size, fragile in body, and tender in spirit—but still here, still trying, still believing.
She came to us after a community member reported three cats living inside an abandoned travel trailer. There was no heat. The temperatures were freezing. Inside, food had been dumped into a single pile and the only water available was frozen solid. Through a family member of the owner, we were able to secure the release of all three cats.
Two of the three were adopted quickly.
Mid nite stayed behind.
She was sick when she arrived and has struggled to bounce back. She has a small sore on her nose from rubbing it against her kennel—an anxious habit from a life spent waiting for safety. She may look shy or withdrawn, but the truth is much simpler: she is starving for love.
When you pick her up, she melts completely. She purrs and purrs, pressing herself into you as if trying to make up for every moment she went without comfort. She doesn’t ask for much—just to be held, to be warm, to be wanted.
Mid nite Security is looking for a calm, patient home with someone who understands that healing takes time. The mark on her nose will fade, but the wounds on her heart will take longer. She needs a soft bed, a steady supply of nourishing food, and a person who will show her—every single day—that she is safe now and will never be abandoned again.
With love, Mid nite is going to blossom. She just needs someone willing to be her second chance.
