Marble is a sweet 7-month-old kitten with a heart full of love. She arrived at Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions on February 4th as part of a special transfer from Southern California, thanks to our friends at The Purrty Pals! 💙
Graycie and her sister Marble are two of four siblings rescued from a shopping strip in La Puente, Los Angeles. A kind community member noticed the kittens living outdoors in extreme summer heat—over 95 degrees—with severe eye and nose infections. They urgently needed help. With teamwork between the nail salon owner who cared for the colony, The Purrty Pals, and the city of La Puente, all four kittens and their mom were safely rescued. Mom was spayed through a TNR program, and the kittens received the medical care they desperately needed.
Marble came into foster care at just 4–5 weeks old and was truly a little fighter. Thanks to dedicated fostering (including time in a home with children and other cats), she grew into the loving, confident kitten she is today.
Personality-wise, Marble is more independent than her sister, Graycie. She's 100% lap cat and LOVES to be held. She purrs louder than Graycie, too! She’s playful, talkative, affectionate, and especially wonderful with children—even young ones ages 3+. While she may hiss at new cats at first, she does adjust and can happily cohabitate once she’s had time to settle in. (She hasn’t met dogs yet.)
Marble would love to be adopted with her sister Graycie (or have another friendly cat in the home). She gets along well with other cats and would thrive in a loving, patient environment.
A huge thank-you to our partners making this possible: Frost Fund, Riverside County Department of Animal Services, and The Purrty Pals, all based in southern California.
Give this sweet girl the fabulous home she deserves—and maybe double the love by adopting her with Graycie! 💛🐾

More about this shelter
Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions is a nonprofit organization dedicated to cats and people in our community. We provide counseling, information, and resources to empower people to support their cats and others in the community. If cats cannot stay with their families or neighborhoods, we prioritize our intake on cats most at risk - cats in need of rehoming; kittens who need specialized care; and cats who have been abandoned, are sick or injured, or are not thriving in the community. We are committed to ensuring the highest level of attention and care for cats in our adoption program and provide a modern, free-roaming adoption center to minimize stress, serve the individual needs of each cat, and set up both cats and adopters for success.
