Roo and Cowboy came running to their foster on the street looking for affection and love and they haven’t stopped. They are adorable individually, but they really stand out as a duo. The pair are almost always together. Where you find one, you will find the other, especially while sleeping. Their love for each other is exemplary, very sweet and playful. Both have settled well into their foster environment, immediately thriving from human affection, while also socializing well with multiple resident and foster cats and a gentle medium sized dog.
Roo is both independent and affectionate. When she wants attention, she will roll over and nudge in the cutest possible way. Being picked up is not her favorite, but she will jump up to your level and ask you for attention. She will sit by your side quietly (not in your lap) purring and sharing her sweet personality. She will sleep at your feet, gazing up at you with her green eyes, almost to show her gratitude for your love and safety. She is both trusting and cautious with her environment, taking a little longer than her brother to adjust to change. She’s independent and observant. She will often find her most coveted toy to carry around and place by her side, while she sits and observes your movements. She’s mostly quiet, but will occasionally meep at you to say hello or gain your attention. She’s loyal, observant, and sweet.
Cowboy in many ways is the opposite compliment to his sister. He loves human attention and has the confidence of ten cats. He’s just as affectionate as he is social. He adores cuddles and snuggles, almost as much as he likes food. Unlike his more cautious sister, he asserts himself almost completely into any new environment. He loves to run, play, and is very curious. Despite his curiosity, he hasn’t managed to cause too much trouble and seems to be the perfect combination of playful and sweet. He’ll be your most loyal, confident sidekick, always asserting himself into your world. Similar to the duality of his confident yet cuddly demeanor, he has a sweet delicate face and giant paws. He’s really the perfect combination of affectionate and independent.
Cowboy takes care of his gentler sister Roo and loves to snuggle and clean her. She patiently tolerates his mischief and rambunctious personality and will occasionally give him a dose of his own medicine. The two sleep together, play together, and observe each other when they are not side by side. The pair are hilarious and entertaining. They will bring love and joy to any welcoming pet loving home.
$250 adoption fee for the pair. Currently in foster care in San Pedro. Meet & greets / pickup will be coordinated upon approved application & homecheck video. Foster-to-adopt is always an available option and recommendation.
All Del Gato kitties are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested for FIV/FeLv, dewormed, and flea treated prior to adoption.

Del Gato Rescue is a small 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat rescue based in Los Angeles, CA. We are a handful of volunteers who work normal jobs by day and rescue cats on nights & weekends. We receive countless daily requests from the community for assistance with cats and kittens found outside in need of rescue.
We focus on rescuing friendly cats from the streets, getting them healthy and vetted in foster care, and finding their purrrfect forever home! We prevent hundreds of cats per year from entering our city shelters and being euthanized.
We also TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) and vaccinate unadoptable/feral street cats, which we believe is the only solution to the root cause of the feline population crisis.
If you'd like to volunteer with us, fostering is a great way to help our cause, and it allows us space to save more kitties off the streets.
If you are unable to foster, we are also always looking for help with transportation to and from vet appointments.
Please send us an email at delgatorescue@gmail.com to be a part of our rescue community. Thanks for your support!

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit volunteer run cat rescue whose mission is to prevent shelter impounds. Los Angeles is filled with high kill municipal shelters, and the chances of any cat getting out alive are slim to none. Our volunteers work directly with the public to rescue abandoned, homeless, injured/sick community cats off the streets of Los Angeles, place them into foster homes, rehabilitate them & get them UTD on vetting, and finally place them into loving forever indoor homes.
