You’ll notice most of Bernice’s photos feature her in a lap, her absolute favorite spot! Bernice loves to snuggle; the only thing she might love as much is wet food. She will follow you to the bathroom so you aren’t alone, and she loves when you sit on the floor so she can cuddle up into your lap.
Bernice is so patient, when giving her a sanitary shave (she has so much floof back there) she let her foster mama do what she needed to do without losing trust. This is the quintessential best buddy cat!
She is curious and adventurous, and once she gets comfortable in your home, she will not leave your lap. The biggest and most gorgeous love-bug in the world. She is also very polite and quiet! A proper princess.
She could be suited for many households, but she definitely deserves someone that gives her the affection she loves so much.
Currently in foster care in Hollywood. Meet & greets / pickup will be coordinated upon approved application & homecheck video. Foster-to-adopt is always an available option and recommendation.
All Del Gato kitties are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested for FIV/FeLv, dewormed, and flea treated prior to adoption.

Del Gato Rescue is a small 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat rescue based in Los Angeles, CA. We are a handful of volunteers who work normal jobs by day and rescue cats on nights & weekends. We receive countless daily requests from the community for assistance with cats and kittens found outside in need of rescue.
We focus on rescuing friendly cats from the streets, getting them healthy and vetted in foster care, and finding their purrrfect forever home! We prevent hundreds of cats per year from entering our city shelters and being euthanized.
We also TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) and vaccinate unadoptable/feral street cats, which we believe is the only solution to the root cause of the feline population crisis.
If you'd like to volunteer with us, fostering is a great way to help our cause, and it allows us space to save more kitties off the streets.
If you are unable to foster, we are also always looking for help with transportation to and from vet appointments.

Our volunteers work directly with the public to rescue abandoned, homeless, injured/sick community cats off the streets of Los Angeles, place them into foster homes, rehabilitate them & get them UTD on vetting, and finally place them into loving forever indoor homes.
