Hello Internet, meet Sam a dapper little 19 pound dude!! He is a happy spunky 3-year-old terrier mix who has a lot of love to give! This sweet boy is now ready for his forever home and would prefer one that is on the calmer side without small children or alpha dogs. He is currently living and doing great in a foster home that has another dog his size that is a gentle player.
Sam was surrendered as a stray but we do think at some point in his little life he was an owned dog. He is an amazing boy that loves walks, toys, people and other sweet-tempered dogs. Samuel is potty trained, leash trained, sleeps all night in his crate with his blankie and knows sit and beg. He also is very treat motivated so leaning more commands and tricks is a fun way to interact with him! A fenced in yard is a bonus as he loves to snuffle around outside in nice weather.
Of course he's a young terrier so there has to be a little something to work right? That would be playing a bit more gently which is why we ask for no small children. He gets so excited for attention and to play that he may mouth going for a toy.. After the initial excitement of being in a home, safe and loved sinks in he continue learning his manners!

*ALL DOGS MUST BE INSIDE COMPANION ANIMALS! They must all be trained with positive reward based training and all are all up to date with vaccinations, altered, microchipped, HeartWorm tested, and on preventatives.

We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. We are a state licensed, 501c3 nonprofit rescue and the adoption donation may be tax deductible for you. Thank you for choosing adoption!!
