Meet Gizmo! Gizmo is a 1.5-year-old terrier mix who’s fun-sized at 8 pounds and is a typical adorable active terrier. He’s shy at first, but once he decides you’re safe, he’ll happily become your little shadow and professional lap warmer. Gizmo loves to cuddle to stay warm and is always ready to snuggle up on the couch or in bed. Remember little cutie is a puppy the loves to play with other dogs and get exercise, so if you are looking a couch potato this is not him as he will get bored.
He currently lives with foster brothers who weigh over 85 pounds, and he’s not impressed by their size and he can sure keep up and he loves to play and follow their lead. He’s crate trained and learning quickly from his dog pack, including how to do yard zoomies and play with his humans. Gizmo is still working on potty training, so he’ll need someone patient and consistent to help him finish learning.
Though he’s tiny, Gizmo takes his security duties seriously and is the first one to sound the alarm when he hears a strange noise. So no apartments for him. He’d do best in a home with older kids or no kids, since fast little humans can be a bit overwhelming for him. *ALL DOGS MUST BE INSIDE COMPANION ANIMALS! They must all be trained with positive reward based training and all are all up to date with vaccinations, altered, microchipped, HeartWorm tested, and on preventatives.

We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. We are a state licensed, 501c3 nonprofit rescue and the adoption donation may be tax deductible for you. Thank you for choosing adoption!!
