Otis is a loving and playful dog whose mom has faded out of his life. He was left with family but they are allergic to him so we just need to find a home where he can get the affection he craves and maybe a fenced yard that he can run zoomies in - or someone who will give him plenty of walks. He's been around other dogs and seems to be fine with them. He would probably be best with bigger, sturdy kids as he loves to play and could knock down toddlers.

Temperament: Gets along with other dogs, sturdy kids, all adults
Training: House trained, crate trained
Vetting: neuter is being scheduled, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm testing on 2.28

To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit.

We are 100% volunteer/foster based, so we do ask that you complete an adoption application in order for us to schedule a phone interview.

After reviewing your application, we'll contact you to determine if dog is a good fit for your lifestyle and home.
Approve Application
We check vet and personal references to ensure previous dogs were well cared for, so please be thorough in providing this info.
Home Check
This enables the dog to get to know you and your home and for us to suggest anything they may need to be successful in your home.
Sign Adoption Contract
You would also pay the fee at this time, however, we offer a 2 week trial period before cashing your check. We will always take dogs back.
