My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you looking for a girl who is sweet, social, and always ready for attention? Kippy is an easygoing girl who loves being around her people. She’s affectionate and gentle, and while she’ll tolerate being picked up for short moments, she much prefers pets, brushing, and especially head scratches. Call her name and she’ll come trotting over with her adorable little waddle where she’ll flop down for belly rubs, chirping the whole time. Kippy enjoys being the centre of attention and isn’t shy about asking for it. She’ll meow for pets, strut around like a tiny queen, and follow you from room to room just to stay involved. She’s playful and happy to entertain herself with just about any toy - feather wands, springs, balls, catnip toys, squeaky mice - if it’s a toy, Kippy’s into it! A cat tree or window perch to watch birds and squirrels is a must for her! Treats are very high on her list of favourite things, with Temptations and Churu at the top of her list. Kippy is bonded with her sister, Apricot and they MUST be adopted together.

Kippy came to us from a barn, where she was ear-tipped as part of a TNR program. But it was soon discovered that Kippy and her sisters are much too friendly to live a life in a barn or outdoors!

Kippy is looking for a home where she can get lots of love, belly rubs, attention, and a few good treats along the way. With people around often, or another cat friend, she’ll happily settle in and make herself right at home.

More about this rescue

Home at Last Rescue (HALR) is a Registered Canadian Charity, that is 100% volunteer driven. Our goal is to rescue cats from substandard living conditions and give them the loving homes they deserve.

We provide medical care, emotional support and a loving environment while preparing them to find their forever homes. With no physical location, all of our cats and kittens reside in loving foster homes across the Greater Toronto Area until they are ready for adoption.

We receive no government funding and rely solely on adoption fees, donations and our fundraising efforts to support our initiatives. We believe there is a home for every cat and a cat for every home.
