My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Udon is a quiet, gentle girl who is a true seeker of affection! Once settled into her new environment, this one-year-old beauty loves being brushed, scratched behind the ears, and as a sign of her ultimate trust, will even let you rub her tummy! Udon is a true snack enthusiast whose heart can be easily won with treats (Churu or Temptations). While she enjoys her quiet, safe haven to recharge away from the household hustle, she is a very sweet and interactive companion. She doesn’t mind being picked up and is a lap cat in the making! Udon absolutely loves the toy fishing rod with attachable lures, along with pom poms and pipe cleaners when it’s playtime! Udon is non-confrontational with her siblings and the dog in her house and is happy to share her space with other cats. Udon is highly tolerant of dogs and is comfortable sharing the same room in her foster home with the dog – she doesn’t react and just prefers to keep a safe distance. Udon would do well in a home with another calm, respectful cat, or even as an only cat where she can be the star of the show, as long as someone is home often to keep her company. She would also do well being adopted with one of her siblings*: Mochi, Soba or Dumpling.

Udon and her siblings came to us as an owner surrender from a house with too many cats. She is ready to begin her new life in her forever home at last.

If a calm, quiet, friendly girl is what you are looking for in a forever companion, Udon is the girl for you!

As we often receive numerous applications for each cat or kitten, we will only contact applicants who best suit the needs of the cat or kitten. For example, if it is stipulated that the cat needs another cat buddy at home and you do not have one, you may not receive a response. Finding the best home for our cat or kitten is our top priority. Applications are not first-come, first-served. *If certain cat names are not listed, it is because they have been adopted.

More about this rescue

Home at Last Rescue (HALR) is a Registered Canadian Charity, that is 100% volunteer driven. Our goal is to rescue cats from substandard living conditions and give them the loving homes they deserve.

We provide medical care, emotional support and a loving environment while preparing them to find their forever homes. With no physical location, all of our cats and kittens reside in loving foster homes across the Greater Toronto Area until they are ready for adoption.

We receive no government funding and rely solely on adoption fees, donations and our fundraising efforts to support our initiatives. We believe there is a home for every cat and a cat for every home.
