If you believe the shy ones love the deepest, Mochi is ready to prove you right! Mochi is a one-year-old, gentle, laid-back, sweet girl. With her quiet demeanour, she settles easily into a calm routine. While she isn’t a lap cat (yet!), she forms strong bonds and shows her affection in other endearing ways. She likes climbing onto your shoulders or back while you clean the litter box, where she’ll quietly hang out, giving you sweet nibbles to your hair or ears. When she’s feeling excited, watch out - she may wrap herself around your legs or give your toes a playful nip. Be careful on the stairs! Mochi enjoys playtime with pom poms, pipe cleaners and has recently discovered the toy fishing pole with attachable lures! Once she feels comfortable, Mochi will become your little shadow. Her favourite place to nap or just relax is tucked safely under a blanket on the couch. She becomes so cozy there that she often needs a personal invitation to dinner. Her foster family shares a sweet daily ritual of peeling back her blanket, picking her up for a cuddle, and carrying her directly to her food. It’s a routine she trusts and clearly enjoys. Mochi prefers the quieter side of life and will retreat to her sanctuary at loud or sudden noises. Mochi gets along with other calm cats, dogs and kids. She will do best in a patient, quiet home that allows her to continue building confidence at her own pace.
Mochi and her siblings were surrendered when their owners could no longer care for them.
Mochi’s transformation from a timid little hisser into a shoulder-climbing cuddle buddy has been incredibly rewarding to witness. With time and understanding, Mochi will show you what an adorable and gentle, shoulder-riding girl she is!
As we often receive numerous applications for each cat or kitten, we will only contact applicants who best suit the needs of the cat or kitten. For example, if it is stipulated that the cat needs another cat buddy at home and you do not have one, you may not receive a response. Finding the best home for our cat or kitten is our top priority. Applications are not first-come, first-served. *If certain cat names are not listed, it is because they have been adopted.
