My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jaybee, a sweet, affectionate, sensitive little soul looking for a home that understands how precious she is. This sweet angel loves to meet new people, eagerly greeting them with a wagging tail and a happy smile. Whether you`re visiting just to see her, or just walking past the window, Jaybee will do her best to say hello. Loud noises are not quite her cup of tea and she reacts by shrinking away, seeking comfort from her humans. Jaybee needs a person to protect her and love her, in return she promises to be there with a wagging tail whenever you need a friend! Jaybee has previously lived with dogs, cats and rabbits, so she might be the perfect match for your furry friend!

Jaybee is:

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
