My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lacey is a gentle, beautiful pup that we are just getting to know. Slow, gentle movements and soft voices are the key to her heart. Lacey is lived with a variety of other animals, including dogs, cats and rabbits, so she may fit well with your fur friends at home! This gentle spirit shows so much potential - we can`t wait for Lacey to meet her new family so they can watch her blossom!

Lacey is:
- open to kids
- open to cats
- open to dogs with successful intro

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
