Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Marigold
Marigold is the tiniest, sweetest girl! She was a singleton kitten living outdoors with her mom, and now she’s ready for a warm home of her own! Marigold has lots of energy and is very playful. She enjoys climbing the scratching post and stalking her toys. Her entire body wiggles as she crouches down and waits the perfect moment before pouncing! Marigold is also a very social kitten. She seeks out attention from people and turns into a purr machine when you enter the room. She loves to nuzzle, and if she feels like she’s not getting enough love in return, she might just flip onto her back and ask you to pet her tummy!
All CSHS kitties are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, FIV/FeLV test (if not born in care), dewormed and microchipped.

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue
Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.
In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.
CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
