Right now, I’m feeling a bit shy in the shelter, but with some time and patience, my sweet nature shines through. I enjoy being near my people and prefer sitting beside a chair rather than on a lap. I like affection on my own terms and will simply walk away or settle down for a nap when I’ve had enough. I can be picked up when I want to be and am very polite about setting boundaries. I’ve lived peacefully with children, another cat, and dogs, getting along well with everyone. The Windsor/Essex County Humane Society was founded in 1926 and incorporated in 1949. The Humane Society has a publicly-tendered contract with the City of Windsor to provide animal control and basic shelter services in the City. This is only a portion of the work done by our organization. In 2016 almost 12,000 animal came through the doors of our shelter and spay/neuter clinic. We can’t help them without your support.
