Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet AXEL!
Axel is an almost-5-year-old black Lab mix with a whole lot of love to give. This sweet, loyal boy is energetic, affectionate, and happiest when he’s with his people. His all-time favorite adventures are car rides and pup cups! Aldo, if he hears the crinkle of a wrapper, he will come running from anywhere in the house.
Axel loves being outdoors, especially in the rain or snow, but he absolutely does not enjoy taking a bath (gotta choose our battles!). Despite all that playful energy, he’s a total cuddle buddy who adores being the center of attention and enjoying quiet companionship.
He’s also loves to “talk” and uses his voice when he’s hungry or is just chiming in with his opinions. Axel does have some separation anxiety if left alone too long, so he’ll need a family who can help him adjust and feel secure in his new home.
He is incredibly smart and highly food-motivated, particularly by cheese. Axel already knows several commands, including sit, sit pretty, shake, and lay down.
Anyone who adopts Axel will be lucky to have such a devoted, loving companion by their side!

More about this rescue
A Lab for Life (ALL) provides a compassionate life-line to abandoned dogs that includes a safe haven, medical care by a licensed veterinarian, nutrition (food) and a fur-ever family through adoption. ALL promotes the humane treatment of animals in the community.
ALL was founded in July 2020 by a group of dog advocates in central Oklahoma and
Northeastern US after some had been volunteering with an out of state rescue for over 5 years. That experience solidified a local organization was needed. ALL formed to rescue as many stray, homeless and owner surrendered dogs as possible by partnering with many state-wide shelters and rescue operations. In addition to transferring homeless dogs from the shelters, fostering them in temporary homes and adopting them out, we also provide behavioral and medical resources to people who are considering surrendering their dog in an effort to keep the dog in their homes and out of the shelter/rescue system.
ALL operates under the 5 freedoms for animal welfare.
We are a brand new organization and welcome donations!
