Diesel comes to MAD after being pulled from the shelter with severe facial trauma. He had a very deep laceration or traumatic injury to his face.
The damage cut through his nose and lip down to the bone and while he was stitched up with a quick repair, he unfortunately developed an infection and the wound became irritated and reopened.
After getting back on track with initial treatment, MAD was able to pull this sweet lover boy from the shelter.
Diesel unfortunately is also heartworm positive, and while he has suffered greatly these last few weeks, he still is a charmer with a big personality, we are hopeful, with proper care and wound management we can help him with putting this all behind him and moving forward with heartworm treatment.
Please help us in keeping that promise to this very deserving boy, by donating to his treatment.

We are an official 501c3 organization that does not have a physical location. Our home address is in Michigan, however, the majority of our dogs are not located in Michigan. The physical location of each dog is posted with the name of the pet or in the title area. If you are within 4 hours of the pet, please be prepared to pick the pet up. We do provide transport assistance up to 350 miles. The applicant must drive the remainder of the distance of the transport.

Interview
We interview applicants and 3 references. References include 2 non-family members and 1 vet.
Home Check
After a successful Home Visit the applicant is eligible to review available dogs and talk to state coordinators about making a good match.
Approve Application
Pay Fee
All MAD dogs are UTD and spayed or neutered. An adoption fee will apply to any dog that is adopted after completing the above process.
