My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

‘DALLAS’ THEMED PUPPY:  Approx. 2-3 months old / Approx. 9 lbs. & growing

Hi there!  I’m one of the adorable “Dallas” themed puppies who thankfully all made our way to Mostly Mutts, where we’ve been growing, thriving, and having lots of fun in our foster homes.  Now we’re each ready to find our furever homes with wonderful families of our own!

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I love my siblings and the other adult dogs in my foster home and would likely enjoy another dog to play with in my new home so if you have a nice doggie that would like a puppy friend, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I love the 15- and 16-year-olds in my foster home – they play with me and I love that!  I’m still at the puppy mouthing stage of life, so know that I’ll need monitoring with younger children and best no toddlers that may fall on me or that I may bump over.  Let’s meet!

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I was super cute and sweet when it was my turn with the photographer, making sure to show off my very best side.  In my foster home, I’m fun, curious, mischievous, and always ready to play. / Energy level: My foster reports that I have a high puppy energy level at around 7-9, though this could change as I grow up.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog – including starting to train me not to chew on you and the kids so we’ll all be happy – so get ready for some training with your new best friend as everyone loves a well-mannered dog. / I’m doing well in my crate with the sibling that’s in my foster home with me.  Of course there will likely be an adjustment in my new home. / I’m at the beginning of my outside potty training in our yard, so I’ll need my new family to potty train me.  A treat reward when I go outside is a good way to encourage me.

• LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love balls, playing outdoors with my family and the other dogs, and all my other toys - I even like dragging them into my crate – so fun!  I also enjoy exploring everything around me. / I don’t like being held when I’m trying to play, and since I’m still so young, it’s hard to think of anything else I don’t like yet.  I’m sure I wouldn’t enjoy it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.

• MEDICAL:  I've started my puppy shots, but you will have to finish these for me as I grow.  I’m also micro-chipped and spayed.

If you’re ready for the fun and excitement of having a puppy as well as the training commitment, then let’s meet!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process

Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following:

Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org.
Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family!

Adoption Info:
Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email.

Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly. Due to the overwhelming demand, many are matched with approved applicants prior to being posted online. Our adoption counselors will be happy to help make a great match for you and your family.

Thank you for your patience and support!

You may also call our phone line, 770-272-6888 or email adopt@mostlymutts.org with specific questions about any of our adoptable animals. We do require an interview, references and a contract. More about this rescue

Who We Are:

Mostly Mutts is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization, staffed almost entirely by volunteers!

Our Mission is to help the Unwanted, Abandoned, Abused and Sick animals in our local counties. We fulfill this mission by working closely with County Animal Control Facilities, saving those who are in imminent danger of euthanasia, or those with needs which require specialized vet care that many other groups will not consider: major orthopedic issues, heartworm positive treatment, skin conditions, neglect and abuse

Please visit our website, www.mostlymutts.org for additional information about adopting a new best friend!
