This beautiful pair of kittens (Mangle and Sardines) arrived at HSOV from different locations and at different times .... But when they met each other in a wonderful foster home, they became best friends and were as close as biological siblings.
MANGLE (PICTURED ON THE LEFT) was brought to the HSOV on September 29, 2025 by a Good Samaritan who found her at the Colonial Square Apartments in Belpre Ohio without a mother or siblings in sight.
Mangle was estimated to have been 10-weeks old at that time. She was malnourished and needed treatments for parasites (worms and fleas), so one of our amazing HSOV kennel techs offered her the hospitality of her home where Mangle could receive the care she needed.
This little beauty (Mangle) has a white short smooth coat with black markings, a long black tail, and an adorable symmetrically-marked face with golden eyes, a pink nose, and long white whiskers.
SARDINES (PICTURED ON THE RIGHT) was brought to the HSOV on October 15, 2025 by a Good Samaritan who found her on Hillcrest Drive in Marietta Ohio without a mother or siblings in sight.
Sardines was estimated to have been 7-weeks old at that time. She was a tiny baby who needed a little extra care/loving, so one of our amazing HSOV kennel techs offered her the hospitality of her home where Sardines could receive the care she needed.
This little sweetheart (Sardines) has a black short smooth coat with a few white hairs on her chest, a long tail, and a cute kitten face with golden eyes, a black velvet nose, and long black whiskers.
Mangle and Sardines have sweet, outgoing personalities. Mangle is the more shy of the pair. While they were in a wonderful foster home with one of our compassionate HSOV kennel techs, Mangle and Sardine became acquaintances ... And they quickly became best friends/soulmates.
Mangle and Sardines were returned to HSOV in mid-January 2026, and they are continuing to share a large cage so that they may provide comfort/security and companionship for one another. We have listed them as a bonded pair since we feel that it is in their best interest to be adopted together.
Mangle and Sardines will be spayed in the near future (tentatively on February 9, 2026) and will be ready to find a loving home.
