My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you’ve been dreaming of a pocket‑sized companion who wants nothing more than to love you, follow you, and curl up in your arms, this little terrier mix might be the one who steals your heart!

PERSONALITY
This sweet girl is deeply people‑oriented and bonds fast. She’s incredibly affectionate, happiest when she’s being held or snuggled close. She can be timid at first around new people, but with patience and gentle reassurance, she warms up beautifully. Once she is familiar with you, she will immediately flip over to have her belly rubbed!

TRAINING AND HOME LIFE
-She’s very close to being fully house trained. She knows to go when she’s outside and is making steady progress with consistency.
-Her treat motivation makes training fun and effective.
-She knows the command for "sit" and is getting used to sleeping happily in her crate.
-She’s still learning to enjoy the company of the resident dog, taking things slowly and gaining confidence day by day. She traveled on the transport with another small dog with whom she developed a friendship.
-She also tolerates cute sweaters, especially if they’re cozy and help her feel secure.

Fuzzy is extremely loving, and will need someone who can help her build confidence and independence with time, structure, and compassion. A home where someone is around often (especially in the beginning!) would be ideal.

PLAY AND ACTIVITIES
She may be tiny, but she’s playful. She loves batting around tiny balls, exploring outside, and enjoying her toys. Once she feels safe, her joyful, silly side comes out.

HER PERFECT HOME
She’d thrive with:
- Someone patient, loving, and home often
- A calm environment
- A family committed to continuing her training
- A person who wants a true Velcro‑style companion
- Possibly another small, gentle dog friend

If you’re looking for a devoted, cuddly, eager‑to‑please little companion who just wants to be loved and understood, she’s ready to give you her whole heart.

Go meet their pets

Over 75% of our dogs are in foster homes along the front range. The foster will get in touch to schedule meetings for their foster dog. Meetings will happen in/near their homes since that is where the dog is the most comfortable. We do want you to bring family members (human and dog) to the meeting! Dogs who are currently at our Windsor facility will have meetings there and a volunteer will reach out to schedule those meetings with you. Please be aware that we do not place our dogs on a first come, first served basis, but rather a best-fit placement. Never fear, applications are valid for a year so if the first dog you meet isn't a good fit, we will have plenty of time to find one that is.
