My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dizzy is a 4-yr old Mini poodle. She was originally rescued from an Amish puppy mill in September. She was just returned to rescue due to her adopter's health. Dizzy is mostly housebroken and does well if you pay attention. She does require a fenced yard. Dizzy does pretty well with other dogs but does lash out if they are in her space. She would do best as an only dog. She’s completely fine with cats. Dizzy is very sweet and would enjoy someone to be her person. She is great lap dog. She does require some encouragement to get in your lap in the beginning but once she attaches will not leave your side. She is a very sweet girl who is looking for her forever family. Dizzy if fostered in Dresden.

More about this rescue

Passion for Pets Rescue (PPR) is a non-profit (501c3), insured and state licensed rescue, run by volunteers. We are a small group of like-minded folks with big hearts. PPR does not have an actual shelter, all of our dogs are either in foster homes in Maine or with our Southern partners in Mississippi.

PPR covers all medical expenses. The majority of the dogs we rescue require immediate veterinary care. Skin infections and internal parasites are common occurrences. We pay for all spay & neuter surgeries. PPR makes sure all dogs are given age appropriate vaccinations, as well as, preventative medication for Heartworm and external parasites. Please contact us if you would like to help foster, transport, fundraise or volunteer.
