Chickadee is equal parts comedy queen and tiny sassafras. Her eyes tell stories. Famous for her intense (and hilarious) big-eye stare, she loves feather wand toys, her kitty friends, and keeping her humans company but on her own terms. Chickadee is not a fan of human touch, however, loves to nap on your bed and lay right next to you on cozy blankets. Chickadee would do best in a calm home, with another feline friend, without young humans and to be loved for who she is. Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
