Squirrel is almost 5 years old. She was recently returned due to changes in her owner's living arrangements. From her owner: She is very sweet a nd a little shy and was very upset to find herself back at our office, but she thankfully was able to go to a foster home to settle in. She is very soft and loves to be by your side. She does well with other cats. She loves to tussle and play. She has been indoor-only her whole life. She likes to sleep by your head most nights. She has been a wonderful to her owner.
From her foster: She is very social, loves lots of attention, pets, kisses. She was initially a little shy but after a day she really came out of her shell. She is also quite vocal, not all the time but she definitely expresses how happy she is to see you and when she wants to eat. She is so sweet and my roommates have all had very sweet experiences with her too, she just rubs up against everyone wanting scratches. She is also a huge biscuit maker, and has a gentle little purr. She has not had experience with dogs that we know of.
Apply to adopt to schedule a meet and greet with sweet and pretty Squirrel. She deserves her forever! All cats and kittens have been spayed/neutered, FELV/FIV tested, microchipped, vaccinated (whatever they can have in the period they are in our care, some will still need additional vaccines after adoption), given dewormer and flea preventative and provided care for any known illnesses during their time with us.
All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information.
Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.
Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC.
