My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Honey Bear is a lovable orange-and-white shorthaired boy who truly lives up to his name. He was found injured, with a wound on his rear left leg, but thanks to proper care, he has healed beautifully. Unfortunately, his original situation wasn’t safe—large dogs in the home were going after him, leaving him unwanted and at risk. Now safe in rescue, Honey Bear has shown nothing but gratitude and affection.

This sweet boy is playful, outgoing, and loves being around people. He seeks attention, enjoys interactive play, and happily settles in for cuddles. His gentle, friendly nature makes him a great fit for a wide variety of households, whether that’s a family home or a quieter setting. Honey Bear adapts easily and just wants to be loved and included.

After everything he’s been through, Honey Bear deserves a home where he’ll be safe, cherished, and never overlooked again. If you’re looking for a cat who will greet you with affection and bring warmth and joy into your life, Honey Bear is ready to be your new best friend.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our 9LCR cats are not routinely tested for FIV and FeLV for various reasons, one being to keep the costs and hence the adoption fee affordable. This decision is based on studies that have found that only about 4% of cats are actually infected. The funds for testing are better utilized for our spay and neuter efforts of owned and community cats in order to save the most cats. However, testing can be performed upon request and need to be covered by the person interested in adopting.
9 Lives Cats have been spayed or neutered and have updated vaccinations. 9 Lives is run entirely on volunteers. Please give us 2-7 days to process your application. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us! Please fill out our application form found here: t.ly/38VV
Adoption fee is $70.00.

More about this rescue

We started 9 Lives Cat Rescue to find homes for cats that are homeless or need to be relocated.
We are a no-kill, non-profit group. Our cats live in foster homes until they are adopted. We spay & neuter every cat before they are adopted.
We fully support our local no-kill feral cat group who practices TNR (Trap, Neuter & Return).
