My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Muñeca! Her name means “little doll,” which is on purpose because that's exactly what she is! Muñeca is about 2.5 years old and just under 20 pounds and came to us after her previous owner developed allergies to her. It seems like she’s been passed around more than she deserved, so she’s ready for that chapter to close for good and for her next home to be the forever kind!

Muñeca has a naturally gentle, easygoing presence. She’s not the loudest dog in the room or the one demanding attention, but she always wants to be nearby, soaking it all in. She loves people, does great with other dogs, and has a calm confidence that makes her a joy to be around. She’s affectionate without being clingy, playful without being chaotic, and mellow without being boring. Truly a sweet spot kind of dog.

She’s already learned a few tricks and is clearly a smart girl, especially when snacks are involved. Training with her feels less like work and more like bonding time. She wants to please, wants to connect, and wants to feel like she belongs.

Muñeca would do beautifully in a home that appreciates her gentle nature and is ready to give her the stability she’s been missing. She’s the kind of dog who will quietly curl up next to you, follow you from room to room, and look at you like you’re her whole world once she knows she’s safe.

She’s sweet and full of love, and she’s more than ready to give it all to someone who’s ready to give it back! If you’re looking for a loyal little companion with a tender heart, Muñeca might just be your girl. Interested? Please inquire today!

More about this rescue

Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
