Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Fluffernutter — a living, breathing marshmallow with whiskers.
Fluffernutter is less of a cat and more of a sentient cloud that occasionally remembers how legs work. Picking them up feels like lifting a warm pile of fresh laundry… if the laundry purred and judged you softly.
This majestic fluff beast has fur for days. Weeks, even. Somewhere under all that floof is a cat, but scientists have yet to fully confirm. You don’t pet Fluffernutter — you disappear into them. Small objects, hands, and possibly emotional baggage may be absorbed into the fluff with no guarantee of return.
Favorite activities include: • Expanding to take up 87% of the couch • Leaving tiny tufts of “souvenir fluff” everywhere you go • Slow blinking like a sleepy owl • Looking offended when brushed… while also needing it desperately
Fluffernutter moves at two speeds: 1. Graceful drifting tumbleweed 2. Sudden inexplicable zoomies at 2:14 AM
Their personality is pure sweetness with just a sprinkle of diva. They want affection, but on their terms — which are usually “right now” or “absolutely not, how dare you.”
If you’ve ever wanted to own a stuffed animal that occasionally walks into walls and demands snacks, Fluffernutter is your dream come true. Equal parts cuddle monster, decorative throw pillow, and mild household hazard, this fluffy legend is ready to float gently into someone’s heart (and vacuum filter).More information? More about this shelter
Marion Area Humane Society is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization incorporated in 1967 under ORC 1717. We strive to educate, assist and protect the animals of the Marion area. Since 1986 have operated a shelter to provide a humane environment for homeless animals. In 2011 several generous donors and grants made it possible for a shelter renovation and addition of a separate intake section. MAHS operates a open-admissions shelter with a guilt and fee free surrender policy, to encourage owners who can not properly care or maintain proper living conditions for their pets to do the best thing for the pet. MAHS also provides humane investigations and a spay/neuter voucher program for Marion county.
