Marly is a 1-year-and-4-month-old Belgian Malinois mix who came in with her brother, Mango. She’s currently part of our Shy Dog Program, gaining confidence every day, and learning to navigate unfamiliar environments and new people at her own pace. This smart girl already knows sit, stay, leave it, and come, and walks well on leash — though she can get spooked sometimes. Marly is head-shy and nervous around things being thrown, even toys, so she does best with gentle, calm guidance.
Once she feels safe, Marly’s affection and loyalty shine. She’s eager to connect, learn, and build trust with a patient, loving person who will help her blossom. AWD is always in need of foster homes for our pets who need time to grow, recovery from illness or injury or in need of a break from the shelter. Foster homes increase our capacity to provide services to homeless pets in our community. If you would like to donate toys, towels and milk-bones are always in need. Volunteer opportunities are also available at our shelters.
