My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"Joy lives in a wagging tail." This makes us think of Luther! Luther is an absolute love! He is a sweet and happy-go-lucky dog with such an endearing personality. He is 11 months old and weighs 45 pounds.

He prances happily at your side on daily walks and is such a fun companion! Luther also loves to run and play in the fenced yard. He bounds about in total joy and is so agile and athletic.

Luther is always ready for a pet and a cuddle and is so affectionate. We love spending time with this great young dog.

Luther is a bright dog who wants to please and should master any commands you want him to learn.

He is going to be such a fun and devoted family dog!

More about this shelter

Cheatham County Animal Control is committed to finding good homes for the animals that come into the shelter system. We work with rescues and adopters. We are a no kill shelter but we rely on people coming in to adopt!

All of our cats/dogs receive vaccinations that are appropriate for the age and health when they are at animal control. We also spay and neuter all of our animals. The adopter is responsible for all vaccinations and medical care after adoption.
