My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

“Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.” This reminds us of our delightful Charlie! He is five years old and weighs 75 pounds.

Charlie has one of those wonderfully expressive doggy faces that looks like he is smiling at you, and you can't help but smile back! He is such a friendly, good natured and happy go lucky dog! We truly enjoy his company.

Charlie is always ready to accompany you on a walk and is a sought after companion. Once he is done, he loves to hang out with you to be petted and cuddled and enjoy the day.

Charlie also looks forward to outings in the fenced yard, where he has a great time playing

Charlie is a bright dog who should master any commands you want to teach him.

He is going to be such a loyal and congenial companion!

More about this shelter

Cheatham County Animal Control is committed to finding good homes for the animals that come into the shelter system. We work with rescues and adopters. We are a no kill shelter but we rely on people coming in to adopt!

All of our cats/dogs receive vaccinations that are appropriate for the age and health when they are at animal control. We also spay and neuter all of our animals. The adopter is responsible for all vaccinations and medical care after adoption.
