My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Courtesy post...Meet Lorelai – Your Sweet, Snuggly Sidekick Lorelai is a 3-year-old Staffie/Lab mix, about 50 lbs, fully potty trained, spayed, and up to date on all her shots. She has no medical concerns and is a healthy, happy girl. We are heartbroken to be looking for a new home for her, but she has not been getting along with our small dog and has gone after him a few times. (We have consulted both a vet and a trainer.) She does well with larger dogs and may thrive as the only dog or in a home with a bigger canine companion. She is great with kids and while she hasn’t been tested with cats, we would lean toward a home without them. Now for the best part — Lorelai’s personality. She is truly the SWEETEST girl you’ll ever meet. When she meets you, she immediately rolls over for belly rubs like it’s her full-time job. At bedtime, her favorite routine is nudging her way under the covers so she can be “tucked in” properly. It’s her signature move, and it melts hearts every single night. She loves stuffed animals, enjoys a calm environment, and has an overall gentle, affectionate demeanor. Lorelai is the kind of dog who just wants to be close to her people and soak up love. Located in Edgewood, MD Contact: 443-366-3536 We are hoping to find Lorelai a safe, loving home where she can continue being the sweet, cuddly companion she was meant to be.February 12, 2026, 12:07 pm

More about this rescue

Adopt a Homeless Animal Rescue (AAHA) is a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and assisting animals in crisis. We actively combat animal cruelty in any form.

We have a particular commitment to pit bulls and aim to raise awareness about the breed, help those in need, and educate the public:
•We seek to promote this lovely yet unfairly maligned breed as the sweet, intelligent, affectionate, and people-oriented dogs they are.
•We assume stewardship over their well-being and strive to make this world a better place for them.
•We serve as a resource and/or liaison for shelters, individuals, and the community at large, advocating for any animal in harm's way.
•We also function in an advisory role for private citizens who seek assistance and guidance in better caring for their pets.

We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Please help us help the animals!
