My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kelvin (aka "Cowboy Kelvin" or "Kelvey") is a sweet and playful Chug (a Chihuahua-Pug mix). He is around 8 years old with a tan body and little bit of frosty face. Crate-trained and a wonderful commute copilot, he’s ready to join a loving, single-dog home where he can be your devoted adventure buddy and couch companion.

Kelvin is completing heartworm treatment and needs to remain on crate rest for 4 weeks after adoption. He is looking for an adopter who can continue his follow-up care and bring him to get neutered when all healthy! If you are looking for a faithful friend who’s up for road trips and cozy evenings, consider Cowboy Kelvin!

Our Editors notes : he really calms down when he chews on bones 🦴 and we do actually believe he could handle another dog in a house , perhaps another pug.

Additional adoption info

Please visit www.hopeanimals.org/adopt to learn more about our adoption process and to complete an adoption application.

Adoption Fee includes spay/neuter*, microchipping, up-to-date vaccinations, and current heartworm and flea/tick preventatives.

*If pet is not old enough to be spayed or neutered prior to adoption, a $50.00 credit will be paid to your vet at the time of surgery.

We require a veterinary reference for current pet owners, and pets must be up to date on vaccines and heartworm preventative. We meet potential adopters in their homes and introduce the pets to the family's current pets to see if it is a good match. A copy of our adoption contract can be requested via email.
