Ube is a very handsome boy with a gentle, sensitive nature. While he can be a bit shy at first, this sweet kitty simply needs a little time, patience, and a calm environment to show his true personality. Once he begins to feel comfortable, Ube happily settles into cozy beds for long naps and quickly learns that treats mean good things—one of the fastest ways to win his heart! With a loving home willing to let him blossom at his own pace, Ube is sure to grow into a devoted and quietly affectionate companion.

The first step to adopting a cat or dog from Animal Friends Alliance is to fill out an adoption questionnaire. You can do this online!
The next step is to pick out a cat or dog! Check out our adoptable cats and adoptable dogs for pictures and short descriptions or come into the shelter at our Taft Hill campus. We also have adoptable cats at many offsite locations.
Note: not all available cats and dogs reside at our campuses. Some are at off-site adoption partners or in foster homes. If you are interested in a particular cat or dog, please call our shelter at (970) 484-8516 to find out about their current status and location.
We do not ship animals. You are required to come and meet your new addition prior to adoption so that we can ensure a good match.
Please note that we will make a copy of the adopters’ State ID card, Driver’s License or passport at the time of adoption.

Our spay/neuter clinic performs surgeries on both cats & dogs, and we also offer low-cost vaccination clinics every week.
Our organization's goal is to do everything in our power to prevent euthanasia due to 'homelessness'.
