My Journey I was found as a stray near an In-N-Out parking lot — hence my legendary name. Since being rescued, I’ve discovered just how amazing indoor life can be, and let me tell you… I am all in. Cozy beds, regular meals, and humans to adore? Yes, please! Now I’m ready to trade the drive-thru life for my forever home.
My Social Life I’ve been around other cats and have been non-reactive, even when they’ve had strong opinions about me. I’m confident and focused on my people, so with proper introductions, I’d likely do just fine in a multi-cat home. I mostly just want to be wherever the action is — especially if that action involves you.
My Personality Affectionate, outgoing, and very vocal. I am the definition of a love bug. I want nonstop pets and will happily rub all over you to make sure you understand that. I like to “talk” and tell you all about my day — and I expect you to answer back! I thrive on attention and connection. If you’re looking for a quiet, mysterious cat… that’s not me. If you’re looking for a devoted, interactive companion… I’m your guy.
I Enjoy… Constant pets and full-body rub sessions Being wherever my human is Spring toys and feather wand toys (I’m learning that playtime is pretty great!) Mealtime — I am very food motivated Conversations (yes, I will chat with you daily) Food is a big motivator for me and makes training and bonding extra fun.
I’m Not a Fan Of… Honestly? I’m pretty easygoing. I mostly just don’t enjoy being ignored — I’m here to love and be loved!

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
