My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I took Avalanche out for photos with a visiting photographer 2/7/26. He was very well behaved for us both, he leashed up well and greeted us with a tail wag. His first stop was to get pets from the photographer and then we made our way to the other side of the camera. He liked having his face scratched and was calm the whole time. He also showed a lot of interested in the squeaker toy we had, so we let him play around with it for a while before putting him back in his kennel. Very good boy.

Avalanche had a meet and greet with another dog. He came in really excited and spooked the other dog but backed off when corrected by the other dog. He initiated play, but the other dog wasn't interested. He responded well to all of the other dog's corrections.

1.
Submit Application

• Current pets must be spayed/neutered, UTD on annual exams, heartworm tests, vaccines & consistent heartworm prevention.

Interview

We will have a volunteer call personal and vet references. We will interview applicant if all information provided is accurate.

3.
Home Check

We do in home visit checks or via video chat. Video Chat If adopter lives out of our area, if a volunteer Is unavailable.

Or we help arrange private (or volunteer) transport for your pet if adopter isn’t in our local area.

Additional adoption info

We are all volunteers, but we try to have all applications processed in 7 business days.. If you are approved, then we will send you an adoption contract and transport information. Payment must be made once contract is finalized.
We try to answer all inquiries. If you are interested in a pet the best way to meet that pet is FILL OUT AN APPLICATION. Since we are all volunteers, applicants must be approved before a meet/greet.
